GPC has implemented the first photovoltaic station based on innovative bifacial panels integrating MLPE technology in Africa and the 3rd globally. After Lithuania and Spain, Tunisia has been selected for the SUPER PV project to establish a demonstration photovoltaic station at the site of the Higher Institute of Technological Studies (ISET) of Tozeur in collaboration with ANME.

SUPER PV is a project funded by the European Union through the H2020 program, which is based on a hybrid approach combining technological innovations and data management methods with the aim of reducing the costs of innovative photovoltaic systems and consequently reducing the LCOE (26%-37%).

The installation carried out at ISET Tozeur aims to evaluate various photovoltaic technologies under similar climatic conditions (high temperature, sandstorms), and to scientifically exploit the data obtained through MLPE modules (module-level power electronics).

The collaboration between ISET Tozeur, ANME, and GPC within the Super PV project highlights the importance of technological innovation in sustainable development and the pursuit of advanced energy solutions. This partnership positions Tunisia as a pioneer in the adoption of cutting-edge solar technologies, thus paving the way for a cleaner and more efficient energy future.

This collaboration offers new local prospects for young Tunisian students to train and engage in renewable energy technologies. We are proud to have been involved in this innovative project.
