GPC is undertaking an ambitious project to install photovoltaic solar stations in three hospitals located in two different governorates, in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), an organization renowned for its commitment to sustainable development and improving access to energy.

The photovoltaic installations are connected to the national high voltage electrical grid, including 25 KWc systems at El Aala Hospital and Hazoua Hospital, as well as a 40 KWc system at Hajeb Laayoun Hospital. This strategic initiative was undertaken to control the energy costs of the hospitals while contributing to the reduction of their carbon footprint.

This collaboration has had an economic impact, saving each hospital's electricity bill, thereby contributing to more efficient management of the financial resources of healthcare facilities, such as the purchase of essential medical equipment or the recruitment of additional staff.

On the environmental front, the photovoltaic solar installations help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by replacing fossil fuel sources with clean and renewable energy. GPC thus contributes to the fight against climate change and the preservation of the environment.
